A New Normal and a New Routine

As the quarantine progresses (6th week as of this writing) I finally found a new normal and a possible new routine to deal with the current situation. I can’t go out to do photoshoots. All travels have been canceled for the near future. No rehearsals or shows in sight. However, I was able to resurrect a couple of projects and really focus on others that have been lagging (with no real excuse, to be completely honest). I was able to record a bunch of episodes for my shows: The DNA of Music, The Wanderings Podcast and Creative Walks over these days. I also worked on a little backlog of photo edits and a few other projects which I will go in detail on the next post.

Today I just wanted to mention that I really found a ‘second wind’ in this little corner of my house, where I transformed my kitchen table into my impromptu recording studio, with minimum viable equipment.

The experience has been great. Finding this new magical corner has really invigorated me, and I think this can be a great tip if you are trying to find your groove in these trying times. Find a new magic corner in your house. You’ll have to experiment with what works for you.

More writing tomorrow. I just wanted to share this with you. Bellow you will find links to the latest podcast and video shows available. Today I released an interview with Iranian drummer Ali Massoudi about Iranian percussion. :)
